The Great Reform Act

On 7 June 1832 in Britain the Great Reform Act received the royal assent. Until then only about 10% of men could vote. The new act increased that to about 14%. But at least it made the distribution of constituencies fairer. It was not until 1918 that all men in Britain could vote. (The same year, 1918 most women in Britain were given the right to vote). www.localhistories.org/womenvotetime.html
